How pricing works
An overview of how DEPARTMNT is priced: five tiers, tags, ticketing fees and services, with the figures on the Pricing pages.
DEPARTMNT is priced on five tiers, plus the tags you order and any services you want from us. This page explains how a price is put together and where to find the figures. It helps brands and agencies work out where they fit before they talk to us.
The five tiers
Base

For a pilot, a single drop, one event

Prices, what moves you up a tier and the usage that comes with each are on Tiers. Nothing switches off when a tier fills: we tell you, and you choose an add on or the next tier.
Compliance is never tiered: every tier gets the same position. See Security and compliance.
What a price is made of
- A platform subscription. The software is a subscription on one of the five tiers. See Tiers.
- Tags. Hardware is priced per unit, with quantity breaks and a discount that grows with your tier. See Total cost of ownership, which has the calculator.
- Ticketing fees. A fee on tickets sold through the Portal, set by your tier. See Billing, support and bolt ons.
- Services. Work we do for you is scoped project by project. Anything outside the agreed scope is billed as services. See Services.
Minimum terms, billing, support and bolt ons are on Billing, support and bolt ons. Launch Packs and Infrastructure Partnerships are on Tiers.

Agencies and partners
Agencies can manage more than one brand from DEPARTMNT, for example a label with several artists, or a fashion house with sub brands. Agency and Network clients are account managed. A white label report template is on Downloads.
The partner rate card is for signed partners, on Agreements and terms.
